Volkswagen Taro is actually a badge-engineered Toyota Hilux YN80 (5th generation). VW didn't have one-tonne pick-up and Toyota wanted a bigger European market share of such vehicles, so they came to an agreement.
This vehicle belongs to a public utility company. I was trying to catch it for a long time and I finally did it. I was always sure it's a Toyota, but I was wrong.
I think Taro is even rarer here than Hilux (it's the only one I know).
